Queen Palm help- what am I doing wrong?
Comments (15)So....I finally get to a big piece of info that I didn't know about. Apparently ALL our plants are on the same drip line. The landscape guy only put in one line back there when he did the wall. UGH! I had no idea about this. So, this means I can't do anything right? If I bump up the water on my palms/tropicals, I drown my roses, right? If I water the palms seperately say with a bucket or something, how much and how often? I didn't go down a full foot, but I was able to try and go down a few inches and it's pretty dry, yeah. About the Philo, yeah, all the tropicals minus the palms went in March/April-ish. The philo was really doing good and now it's just become so hot. I am trying so hard to find out what to do. I am upset w/the nursery we purchased all our stuff from because they're not calling back at all to help w/advice. The bird of paradise and our canna are doing amazing. Everythign else I am trying so hard to figure out what to do so I can save them. This heat sure is not helping me either. --Terra...See MoreI Am The Ring Binder Queen (Is This A Curse?)
Comments (6)My daughter got married 3 yrs ago. She had the Wedding Binder. Had notes, receipts, plans, fabric samples, pictures of anything to do with wedding. We shopped in 7 different cities looking for the perfect shade of blue with the look/feel/drape of what she wanted. We finally found it... She was so organized she laid out everything she had purchased, sorted it out, took a digital photos, numbered the tote box, wrote where in the maze of totes it was located, (color coordinated, of course ;) and had those picture pages in her binder. There was every phone number, name of sales clerk, subject, etc. that she had conversations with along the way... Of course the wedding and reception was perfect, and the worst that happened, was my umbrella getting sent home with her MIL. I should only wish that the genes would reverse to me!!! Now that she has her first child, (Audry Olivia- 8 wks old) she has the Building the House Binder. She spent a year designing it, and now has nearly all of the things ready to go into it as soon as the Men People get it ready! Of course when I ran into her in the store a couple weeks ago, the House Binder was right beside her diaper bag. I have a feeling that when she returns to work this week, the Binder will come along also. I hope that Baby is so blessed with the organization that her Mommy has!...See MoreI am trying to update my personal info...
Comments (5)Thanks to both of you...two very familiar 'faces' that I am happy to 'see' again. glenda...I finally did contact you, but any answer will go to my old email address that I cannot change on here, so now I don't know what to do about that. country...so glad you're still here...I've been spending more time on facebook because my 'family' is on there, but it has too much drama sometimes and then I come over here to get a rest...usually just peruse the posts and don't comment so much...so ya all watch what ya say 'cause I'm listening in...LOL! Now what, glenda? Appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks, nola_anne...See MoreAm I crazy to paint master bath black to accent tub/update vanity?
Comments (38)No, I would not paint a bathroom in a home I'm trying to sell black. That is too specific to appeal to the masses (which is your target audience). Could a designer make black walls look amazing? Yes. Can people on this forum send you pictures of bathrooms with black walls? Yes, But none of that relates to you because you're not a designer and "most" people will probably not respond positively to that. Yes, your bathroom is very dated. But what I would do is start with A) a budget, and B) an overall plan. Get someone with some decorating sense to help you BEFORE you do anything. There are too many things wrong in that space to start calling it all out without knowing how much money you have to spend on this and the style of the home, but in general if you can't remove that paneling then you're looking at painting it a light, neutral color. You're looking at painting all of that cabinetry and trim. You're looking at a new counter top and sinks. You will need new mirrors (you need two, one over each sink), new lighting fixtures and new faucets and cabinet hardware. And then you're going to have to remove that weird angled wall piece, I'm not sure what that is actually, but it has to be removed....See MoreKswl
