Scale Q: Toilet to vanity height
Comments (21)Glad you're all set Andrea! I would like to see pix if you're doing more than just new toilet. Looks like vanity is done, were you thinking of putting shelf over toilet (picture has someone holding some sort of countertop there?)? Renee - now I'm conflicted again! I really prefer 32" but it's just more work to block up the washstand 3" (and get the legs to look right, proportionally and stain), casters would be easy. And I'm still struggling with scale - in such a small (3' x 6'4") room, the toilet tank at 29.5, what would be best option for washstand? Vessel sink is out, I already have the perfect drop-in sink (bow front matches curve of washstand) and faucet....See MoreCould you recommend a bathroom scale?
Comments (18)I'm also a daily weigher. I just replaced my scale because I had to "tap" it multiple times to get it to turn on. I found another digital scale at TJMaxx that you don't have to "tap" first. It looks like the "best seller" scale linked above works the same. Before deciding to keep it I had to test it to see if it gave the same weight as my old scale. I didn't want to think that I had suddenly gained or lost a few pounds....See MoreLooking for a good app for preliminary kitchen and bathroom layouts.
Comments (10)Post your graph paper here. Using that is what engages the brain. Its why scale drawing with sn architect’s scale is still taught and used. Before introducing software. And then use Paint to cut and paste on your scanned graph paper, after you get a sense of the space. That’s the zero cost solution. Then download a trial version of 2020, if you want to move to the industry standard. I guarantee you you won’t be able to learn enough to do anything with it in the free month though....See MoreHow to clean polished marble bathroom floors
Comments (20)I need some help too please 🙏🏻 I was given bad advice from a professional tile restorer that I should use vinegar and warm water to clean my bathroom floors/ grout. I have a new construction home and the tiler did not cover the floors after he finished so every contractor walked on the bathroom floors dragging mud and paint… needless to say the grout was no longer bright white. I have been trying to get professionally cleaned but no one wants to touch marble. So I used the vinegar and a plastic scrub brush and of course the polished marble is now matte. I ended up doing the entire floor because the matte area I did first was in the middle of the floor and it was very obvious. I don’t mind the look of the less shiny floor but I’m worried it’s now going to stain very easily. I bought a steamer to try to do the grout but then I read no steamer on marble either! What do I do? Do I reseal the marble? Also all of the staining did not come out of the grout. Is it possible to re-grout the floors to kind of start over? Any advice is much much appreciated....See Morepetalique
